The name is rooted in Spanish origins, literally meaning Palm Tree. Palmera, evokes a much greater emotional sense, one of coastal warmth, calm elegance, and enduring beauty. While it is the name of our community, Palmera poetically embraces the charm of life in Camarillo, California. We describe life in our community as 'resort' living because it is magically placed along a stretch of the coastline famed for its near perfect yearlong weather. This is Where the morning begins with a breath of ocean air, and the light of the hills reflects in shades of gold and green.
